Wine and alcohol pairings are a part of creating a meal that delights all the senses. Visually, cocktails can be a stunning addition to a meal, and while most wines lack any definitively spectacular visuals, their flavour profiles can highlight the smell and taste of a meal when served appropriately.
Of course, I find consumption of alcohol with food to be a matter of personal taste, and so I don’t try to be pretentious in my recommendations of beverages. Sometimes, the best pairing is a wine or drink one knows and loves.
